If you lived in an Asian country, then chrysanthemum tea is no stranger to you. Whether it’s home brewed or ready-to-drink tetra packs picked up at your local supermarket, chrysanthemum herbal tea is the “must-have” cool down summer beverage on scorching hot days.

Now, did you know that the chrysanthemum flower (Chrysanthemum morifolium) does a number of amazing things for the skin, particularly beneficial for people who are prone to pimple breakouts? It is often said in the Chinese community that drinking chrysanthemum tea regularly for a prolonged period can help treat acne naturally and safely.

From a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) perspective, chrysanthemum flower tea is well known for its sedative and cooling properties that help reduce excessive internal body heat and is good for a wide range of common ailments such as fever, insomnia, headaches, and red eyes. If you always have a problem sore throat, bad breath, or mouth ulcers, this appealingly refreshing tea with a nicely delicate floral aroma will also do miracles.

Besides that, this ever-popular herbal tea in Asia is also used to treat other heat-related skin problems such as eczema and boils, which result from the body’s inability to withstand both external and internal pathogens, according to TCM.

You can also use it as a soothing exfoliating face scrub. Just add in 1 small teaspoon ground powder to your foam cleanser or face washing soap. Rub it around your palms until bubbles form. It effectively removes accumulated dead skin cells, leaving your skin refreshed and enlivened, and of course baby soft to the touch.

Due to its super calming and powerful anti-inflammatory properties, you can even find a huge plethora of multi-purpose skincare products in the market that contain chrysanthemum extract to tackle various skin problems like reducing acne redness, keeping pimple or zit flare-ups under control, and clearing skin blemishes.

This incredibly simple-to-create homemade chrysanthemum facial mask not only help clear acne naturally, but will also nourish and brighten dull-looking rough skin. If used once a week, your facial complexion will look visibly lighter and noticeably softer and smoother.

How To

How to make Healthy Natural Chrysanthemum Facial Mask
5mL | 1 tsp warm water
2 1/2 tsp Powder

Whisk in the Chrysanthemum first, adding it about half a teaspoon at a time.
it’s best to sprinkle it over the water and let it wet out for a few seconds before whisking it in. It is a little prone to clumping,
and you’ll probably think you’ve overshot the adlay addition a couple times when you first start to stir after an addition,
but the Chrysanthemum will melting down and incorporate nicely.

When you’ve got a wee bowl of creamy grey paste that’s roughly the consistency of a soft frosting, spread it all over your face,
avoiding your eyes, nostrils, mouth, and eyebrows.

Let it dry for at least 5minutes before washing it off. (Leave on for 5 minutes to 45 minutes.)
Rinse off with warm water and a wash cloth. Repeat as needed for clear skin.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Generally you boil 20g of tea/herb with 2L. of water. The ratio does not matter. However, it is recommended that you control the
saturation of the tea (how strong it is) depending on your personal
preference and body condition.

A: It depends on the tea/herb.
For leaves: boil for 15~20 min.
For hard fruits, roots, and stems: If you soak the tea/herb in water
for 1~2 hours before boiling, you can save time in boiling, and also
get a deeper flavor than without soaking.

A: Currently, what is listed on the site is what we mostly deal with in
retail stores. However, if there is a certain tea/herb that you wish to
get, you can send an email to info@leafnflower.com. or 844-344-0622.
Then, we may offer a price for obtaining the tea/herb, answer questions, and even offer purchase.

A: Yes, you can combine 5~10g of teas/herbs that you already have with Leafnflower.com's teas/herbs.
Although brewing one tea/herb is still good, combining 2~3 teas/herbs helps bring out
the remedial effects of the tea/herbs better than brewing just one tea/herb. However, most tea/herbs contain natural toxins,
and it is recommended that you boil 1~2 pieces of liquorice root along with the tea/herb to remove the toxin.
